I’m not sure where the last month has gone, apologies for the delay in this post. I have been battling the effects of brain disfunction and prescription medication withdrawal!

And the rare breeds farm and animal sanctuary rescues everything from ants to Swedish polar bears. They currently have 3 of these magnificent animals in residence.

Hollyhock season in my local market town where they are allowed too grow wild! Very few red flowering plants exist, very pleased to find these flowers which were being backlit by the sun.

Mummified cat

Savouring double espresso,

in a medieval bar

Builders struggling with cable,

pandemonium broke loose!

🙀

A mummified cat fell, from its tomb,

lands on my table, thud!

🙀

Dead moggie startled,

fled the building, heard from no more _

🙀

In the 15/16th century it was a common practice to entomb dead cats. Folk magic practice meant to act as a foundation sacrifice and provide spiritual protection.

To ward off wicked spirits and witches' familiars and to act as spiritual vermin control.
